EXSC 563 - Physical Activity and the Physical Dimensions of Aging

Credit: 3 semester hours of undergraduate/graduate credit

Prerequisites: EXSC 223, 224, 351, 530, 530L or consent of instructor

Course Description

The effects of age and physical activity on physical and motor functions of elderly individuals.

General Information

The materials for the course, lectures and discussion boards are located on Blackboard. Adobe Presenter or Microsoft Mix will be used for online lectures. Students will need a computer with speakers to be able to hear the lectures. Online lectures can be accessed via a provided URL, therefore, Internet access is necessary. Assignments must be completed using Microsoft Word unless otherwise indicated. Students will also need to take photos/videos of themselves for the Aging Simulation assignment.

Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
