Proposals for Participation / Being a Team Lead

Team leads are the backbone of success for research that will be conducted in the time period between the 2020 and 2021 conferences. As such, team leads are expected to be experienced researchers with established publication records who are capable of leading team members of varied backgrounds, research training, and fields, and who are in varied locations.

The RFP process for those wishing to lead a team requires that individuals: (1) submit a short proposal of the research design; (2) indicate their willingness to lead a research team for the 14-16 months following the conference; and (3) indicate their intent to present at the 2021 follow up conference. It is expected that team leads will position this work as a primary/priority project and actively work to keep his or her team members engaged and the project moving forward.

Proposers accepted as team leads will required to upload a short introduction video and create a profile in the conference online community (additional instructions will be provided). Prior to the conference, team leaders will be provided the opportunity to review information submitted by those wishing to serve on research teams. At the conference, team leads and participants will have the opportunity to meet and talk prior to collaboratively establishing research team assignments.

A limited number of team leads and projects will be selected. Proposers not selected as team leaders are encouraged to serve as members of another team.

Review Process for Team Leads
Proposals for team leads will be reviewed and selected by the 2020 conference planning team members and additional invited reviewers as needed.

• Robustness of analytical and/or theoretical frame
