The purpose of this Fund is to provide funding for the professional development activities of DMSB undergraduate students from Upstate SC counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, or Union, who have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at DMSB with a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher. Professional development activities for the purpose of this stipend may include participation in conferences, case competitions, professional association memberships, etc. The intention of the stipend is to aid in the advancement of skills and expertise acquired outside the classroom that support the student's professional goals; therefore, the funds are not to be used to purchase course supplies (e.g. textbooks, electronics, office supplies, etc.). Student responsibility: comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; prepare a statement describing how the funds enhanced their professional development to be shared with the donor(s), and consider attending one of the Upstate Alumni Chapter events in order to meet the donor(s).
