The Charles L. Gheen, Jr., Fellowship was established to assist students, based on financial need, with severe family situations that have proved difficult for the applicant to further his/her education. The Anna Scheyett Pay It Forward Fellowship was established by College of Social Work faculty and staff in honor of Dean Anna Scheyett. This fellowship supports an MSW or BSW student with financial need who has an interest in social work with populations who struggle with financial insecurity.

Criteria: 1.BSW or MSW student. 2.Focused on student with financial need who has an interest in working with populations who struggle with financial needs. 3. Applicants will need to answer the question: When you are an established professional, what are ways in which you will "pay it forward" and support future social work students?

Amount: 1 award of $1,000 (2016-2017)

The Frank B. Raymond, III Bicentennial Scholarship Fund supports full-time Foundation Year MSW students. Student should possess superior undergraduate academic records and demonstrate financial need. Criteria: 1) Foundation Year MSW student (full-time only). 2) Student must demonstrated superior undergraduate academic performance. 3) Student must demonstrate financial need. Amount: 1 award of $500 (Fall 2014); 2 awards of $500 (Spring 2015). Funds will be used to support a Social Work student internship for an academic year for IPE, $1,400 each semester. The Social Work intern will assume a leadership role in IPE by heading student discussions, assisting other students with navigation of the EMR, assisting with work up of the patients for the Capstone project.
