The Wauchope award is presented to the senior Phi Beta Kappa initiate with the highest GPA and largest number of liberal arts hours.

Criteria:
* Must be classified as a freshman during the fall semester previous to the spring in which the award is given.
* Must have taken at least one of MATH 141, MATH 142, or STAT 515 during the fall semester previous to the spring in which the award is given.
* Must have at least a 3.5 overall GPA during the fall semester previous to the spring in which the award is given.
* Must have at least a 3.5 GPA in mathematics and statistics courses during the fall semester previous to the spring in which the award is given.
* Must be deemed to be having satisfactory performance in any statistics classes taken during the spring semester, at the time that the winner of the award is determined by the undergraduate committee.

The Stephen D. Durham Award annually recognizes outstanding academic performance by a senior Statistics major. This award is named for Professor Durham who retired in 1995 after 23 years as a USC Statistics faculty member. He was Director of Undergraduate Studies in Statistics from 1981 until 1993. The award winner is selected by the Department of Statistics' Undergraduate Advisory Committee with input from the Department's faculty.
