Dr. John Catalano, Associate Provost for Palmetto College and former Dean of USC Union, has also earned the titles of Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Regional Campus Dean Emeritus at USC Lancaster.  Catalano attended the University of South Carolina and earned a BA in Philosophy, an ML in Librarianship, an MA in Philosophy, and a Ph.D in Philosophy.  He has been a member of the South Carolina Society for Philosophy, the Society for Business Ethics, and the Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy.  He also has received many awards for his teaching and civic activities.
