Microsoft critical & security patches will be applied to the Carolina Card and Millennium (Development Office) systems at University Technology Services on Monday. Carolina Card will be patched at 6 a.m. and Millennium (Development Office) at 8 a.m. The servers will be restarted following the patch installation and should be available for users no later than 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. respectively.

Microsoft security patches will be applied to Data Warehouse servers on Thursday at 6:00pm. Cognos will be brought down at 5:45pm and servers will be restarted following the patch installation. Once the servers have restarted, the Cognos services must be manually restarted. Cognos users will not be able to access the system until after these manual restarts. Cognos should be available for users no later than 8:00pm.

The Service Delivery and Support team will be enhancing processes in ServiceNow. When a technician puts an incident on hold, a customer note and work note is now required. Customers will now see a confirmation page displayed upon the submission of a ticket that will make it clear that the submission was successful. Knowledge articles will have notifications when created, submitted or retired in the Knowledge Base. And a PeopleSoft form will be simplified.
