Bio
Jack transitioned into the Office of Sustainability in June 2025 along with the Green Quad Living Learning Community—now the Sustainability Community at Green Quad. His primary focus is on providing programming opportunities that allow First-Year students to discover and engage with Sustainability initiatives across campus, the local Columbia community and beyond. Many of the programs are hosted in the Learning Center for Sustainable Futures, an on-site classroom facility at the Green Quad Residence Hall.
Prior to joining the Office, Jack served for three years as the Program Lead for the Green Quad Living Learning Community from 2022 to 2025, and as the Coordinator of Student Affairs at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law from 2014 to 2022. He received a Masters in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2021 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Geography. His research is focused on the cultural, economic, and environmental viability of public transportation systems in exurban areas.
Jack is a lifelong Gamecock from upstate South Carolina and is always happy to stop and chat about the USC, local history, and science trivia.
