Peer Leader Jobs

Through peer leadership, students can help other undergraduate students engage in goal-setting and skill development, personal transition to the university setting and effective decision-making.

Spring 2019 Peer Leader Recruitment

We are currently finished with Fall 2018 recruitment. Recruitment for Spring 2019 Peer Leader Positions will begin in October!  Please check back later for more information! 

 

Peer leaders are trained through the College Reading and Learning Association International Training Certification to provide quality assistance to enrolled University of South Carolina students and to empower them to be independent learners.

 

Who is eligible?

Supplemental Instruction Leader

To be considered, you must:

  • be an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina-Columbia
  • earn an A in the subject area in which you wish to support
  • have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • have earned at least 15 USC credit hours

To be considered, you must:

  • have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)

Peer Writing and Communications Leader

To be considered, you must:

  • be an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina-Columbia
  • earn an A in the subject area in which you wish to support
  • have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • have earned at least 15 USC credit hours

November 5th: Individual Interviews Start
