The health of our faculty and staff is essential to our university. It impacts your professional success, quality of life and ability to support students in their academic careers.
Call 803-777-6518 to schedule your no-cost, one-on-one assessment and get a personalized plan for setting and achieving your wellness goals. Get support, guidance and encouragement in a judgement-free zone.
All sessions are free and can focus on:

We offer no-cost preventive screenings for faculty, staff, retirees, COBRA subscribers and covered spouses whose primary insurance coverage is the State Health Insurance Standard Plan or Savings Plan:
- Blood Count
- Blood Pressure Screening
- Health Education
- Lipid Profile
- Metabolic Profile
- Weight Measurement
Drop by our office in the Thomson Building during business hours for any of the following no-cost health screenings:
- Blood Pressure Test
- Body Fat Percentage Analysis
- Weight, Height and BMI Measurements
These screenings only take a few minutes and don't require an appointment.
Gamecocks LiveWell Programs
Wellness programs and workshops are offered seasonally to help university faculty and staff meet their health and wellness goals.
This 10-week group wellness coaching program promotes healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes. Learn about nutrition, physical activity, stress management and healthy sleep habits.

Inner Path to Peace
This 3-part series will explore the science and benefits of mindfulness and meditation. You will learn techniques to create your own meditation practice and space. No meditation experience is necessary. Attendance at all 3 sessions is strongly encouraged.
In honor of American Heart Month, join our annual Heart Beat Step Challenge. You will log weekly steps and learn about heart-healthy habits while competing for Gamecocks LiveWell prizes.

Join us online for cooking classes! A Registered Dietitian provides hands-on instruction to make healthy, balanced meals. Participants should wear close-toed shoes and tie back long hair. Please notify the RD of any allergies at 803-777-0742.

Learn how to incorporate mindfulness practice into your daily life with this free, six-session workshop series for faculty and staff. You can choose to attend one session or multiples within the series.

Call 803-777-8248 or drop in during our open hours. Students, faculty and staff can talk to a trained interpersonal violence advocate 24/7.
Call USC Police at 803-777-4215 and ask to speak with an SAVIP advocate. You won't have to give any identifying information to the police.
Drop in for a consultation or call 803-777-8248 to get help empowering and supporting a survivor. We can also connect you to resources and guide you through being supportive if you have to submit a report to the university. We are a confidential resource and cannot discuss anything about a specific survivor or incident without a signed release from the survivor.
Faculty and staff members have several services available to them through their State Health Insurance Plan.
Fill your prescriptions without leaving campus and get over-the-counter medicine for colds, pain relief, acid reflux, allergies and other common problems.
Faculty and staff can schedule a no-cost preventive worksite screening and additional tests for a fee.
Make an appointment for required vaccines before traveling, or bring in your serum to get your allergy shots without leaving campus.
See a registered dietitian for nutrition counseling or consultations about high blood pressure, high cholesterol, food allergies and other dietary concerns.
