Richard White is a technical writer and manager for the Office of Research and Grant Development limited submissions program and the University of South Carolina's SmartState^® Program. He joined UofSC after a 20-year career in marketing and public relations in both state government and publicly-held Fortune 500 health care, manufacturing, and distribution corporations. Richard earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Journalism and Mass Communications from USC, and his MBA from the University of Memphis. A GRANT program graduate, he has also been certified in research administration (CRA) by the national Research Administrators Certification Council, and has served as an adjunct professor in the College of Information and Communications.
