In an effort to support graduate students and other scholars who have been impacted by the Russia-Ukraine war and who wish to continue their studies or academic work here in the U.S., the University of South Carolina has implemented a process to admit students into a select number of graduate or professional programs and/or to support the work of visiting scholars in a research or teaching capacity.
The Office of the Provost in collaboration with the Graduate School, the English Program for Internationals, International Student Services, the Office for International Scholars, and Office of the Vice President for Research, are working with the university’s schools and colleges to welcome eligible students and other scholars who have been impacted by this crisis.
If you are a displaced scholar who is in search of a new academic home, please fill out this inquiry form to initiate the process. Scholars for whom there appears to be a good fit with available programs will be invited to complete a more formal application.
If you have questions, please reach out to the Office of the Provost at provost@mailbox.sc.edu for more information.
