Garage Parking

Garage permits are available to any students, faculty or staff members on a first-come, first-served basis.

Garage permits for students are charged by the semester; faculty and staff garage permits can be charged by payroll deduction. Rates and areas are listed below.

Regulations

Garage and reserved lot spaces are reserved 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Towing is enforced. This includes summer sessions and holidays.

All spaces not rented for the summer may be sublet by Parking Services.

The speed limit in all garages is 10 miles per hour.

Vehicles bearing a valid garage or reserved lot permit are valid at any time in the “Any Decal” areas. Vehicles with these permits are not valid in faculty/staff spaces designated “Reserved” or “Accessible.” Parking in lots marked “S”, "GS" or "CS" is strictly prohibited.

Garages with access gates require an active CarolinaCard to enter them. If you lose your card, it has to be replaced at the CarolinaCard office in the Russell House (call 803-777-1708 for more information). The card will be activated for the garage purchased through Parking Services.

* Entrance for gates 1 & 2 on Bull St.; entrance for gate 3 is on Devine St.

HZE - Horizon Garage (6'10")
MS - Marion Street Lot
PG - Pendleton Street Garage (6'10")

SS - Sumter Street Garage (6'10", top level 7')
SU - Sumter Street Lot
* Garage and reserved space parking is automatically renewed for employees each year. To discontinue it, contact the Parking Services office.
