National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition
Lauren Writer is the Assistant Director for Conferences and Continuing Education at the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition at the University of South Carolina. She provides administrative oversight for all in-person and online professional development events, including the planning, design, development, and implementation of the Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience and the National Conference on Students in Transition. She also directs strategic decisions, manages logistical details, and assists with marketing efforts for all National Resource Center-sponsored events.
Lauren also serves as an instructor for University 101, UofSC’s first-year seminar course and has been nominated for the M. Stuart Hunter Award for Outstanding Teaching in University 101 each year she has taught.
