Forrest Lane is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University. He holds an MS in higher education administration and a PhD in educational research from the University of North Texas. Lane’s research focuses on programs that support college student learning, particularly those that target transfer students and developmental education. His research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of College Student Development, Journal of The First-Year Experience & Students in Transition, and Journal of Student Affairs Research & Practice. Lane is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, the National Organization for Student Success, and the American Educational Research Association. He is also a Greater Texas Foundation Fellow and past president of the Southwest Educational Research Association.
