Congratulations to our leaders

Congratulations to the graduates of the 2021-2022 [pdf] Pipeline for Academy Leaders (PAL) and Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). These employees completed a year-long cohort-based professional development program that equipped them to be the future leaders of our university.

Over the course of the academic year, participants engaged in targeted professional development activities that focused on the following core competencies:

  • Leading Change
  • Leading People
  • Managing for Results
  • Institutional Knowledge and Understanding
  • Building Effective Relationships

Within those broad categories, participants learned more about self-management, influencing others, developing effective teams, and managing change in their areas of expertise. They also learned about the university’s academic and administrative culture and work process through interaction within the institution’s leadership.

Why it matters: These programs serve a vital purpose within the university’s succession planning efforts by helping to prepare individuals for leadership roles in the future. To learn more, visit the Leadership Development webpage.

2022-2023 Cohorts announced soon: The new PAL cohorts for the 2022-2023 academic year will be announced later this month, and the cohorts for ELP will be announced in late July or early August.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
