The University of South Carolina is currently conducting a nationwide search for a distinguished scholar and accomplished administrator to serve as the next Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.

This is an exceptional academic leadership opportunity at one of the nation’s most respected, comprehensive state flagship research institutions. The successful candidate will replace Joan T.A. Gabel, now serving as president of the University of Minnesota.

Reporting to and working in collaboration with President Robert Caslen, the next provost will bring a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a complex academic organization. The selected individual will possess an outstanding record as a scholar and educator who merits tenure at the rank of full professor at the university.
