A - Yes, this year a floor plan is available during the room selection process.
A - Residence halls will remain open until early December. Some halls are 9-month
halls that remain open throughout the holidays.
A - Housing Move In day and time selection will be available at my.sc.edu via the housing portal in July.
A - Due to normal campus traffic and move in traffic you are limited to one car in
the traffic pattern at a time. We encourage you to bring both and switch cars out
as you unload.
A - Visit our traveling for move in page for additional information on parking and traffic patterns for fall Move In.
A - Due to the number of parking garages on campus with low ceilings, USCPD requests
that guests refrain from bringing car toppers.
A - Everyone will have access to the housing portal to select a Move In day and time.
Numbers of move in times are limited due to physical distancing, however roommates
can coordinate move in day times and days to move in at the same time. This is not
guranteed, nor can we change times to assist in this process.
A - All early arrival groups will have to sign up for a day and time to move in, however
when you access the housing portal at my.sc.edu you will find that you only have access
to the approved early arrival days.
A - Once your child checks into the residence halls you can stay until floor meetings
begin in the early evening time frame. After that we ask all parents and guests to
leave the residence halls so that we can begin the orientation process for living
with us.
A - Move in times are a starting time, not a time period.
A - The postal service will have a drive through pick up area at the Blatt PE Center
or the UofSC Post Office located in the Russell House. Students will be notified
of the location that packages will be available.
