Center for Health and Well-Being Recognized for COVID-19 Response
As the pandemic brought a "new normal," Student Health Services responded to adapt the function of the Center for Health and Well-Being (CHW) to meet the evolving needs of our campus. The CHW quickly shifted to provide locations for testing, screenings, vaccinations, telehealth visits and even virtual yoga sessions.
We could never have anticipated the pandemic. But, in re-imagining the role of the student health center, the goal was to move from simply treating illnesses to promoting health and wellness in all its forms – physical, mental, social and spiritual.

We wanted to create an environment that would make healthy living simple – a building that would make a statement about how important health and wellness is on our campus. We didn't want the Center to look just like another healthcare facility. We wanted students to feel this was their building when they are healthy and an asset when they are sick.
