Councils

Four student-run councils govern and lead fraternity and sorority chapters' activity at USC.

College Panhellenic Association (CPA)

At South Carolina, the College Panhellenic Association is the subset campus organization that supports 13 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) chapters on our campus. The College Panhellenic Association has eight elected executive members to act as liaisons between the university and chapter members to perform many duties such as creating legislation, supporting recruitment of members, promoting academic excellence and creating educational programming. The council meets weekly with one representative from each Panhellenic chapter to collaborate and have open discussion about current issues.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) oversees 20 USC chapters and over 2,100 members. Nine elected executive officers support chapter operations, direct recruitment effors, create posive programming, promote scholarship success, and seek to improve our university and surrounding community. The executive board and chapter presidents meet biweekly to maintain a constant line of communication and discuss the current state of the Fraternity community.

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the umbrella group for our cultural-based organizations, and represents five USC organizations. MGC has seven executive officers who plan service events, set chapter standards, discuss current issues, and more.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the umbrella organization for nine fraternities and sororities, eight of which are represented at USC. The National Pan-Hellenic Council at South Carolina currently has two co-presidents who work with chapter presidents to create events, discuss current issues and support intake efforts.
