Students on exchange pay in-state tuition directly to USC and do not pay tuition to VinUni. All housing, food, and personal expenses are paid by the student in Hanoi. Students' living expenses can vary depending on the individual student’s lifestyle and accomodations. A list of tentative undergraduate courses can be foundon page 17 of the factsheet, but be aware that the course list is subject to change between semesters. A list with exact courses offered will be released before the starting date of the semester. The detail of course registration guidance will be sent to all enrolled students within 2 weeks before the course registration period.

VinUni has various student-run clubs and societies, including, cultural groups, performing groups, spiritual groups, sport and game clubs, student leadership and activism groups, student publications, etc. Joining student clubs or societies is a great way to sharpen your brain, learn new things, practice your leadership skills, and make friends who share your interests.
Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Education Abroad Office for more details.
By providing a combination of accommodation options, VinUniversity ensures that all participants have access to suitable lodging that meets their needs and preferences. With a focus on comfort and convenience, VinUniversity fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for students. The dormitory is not guaranteed and is offered based on the room availability.
In addition to on-campus accommodation options, VinUniversity supports to reserve Vinhomes Serviced Apartments in Vinhomes Ocean Park, located around 300 meters from the campus, ensuring appropriate accommodation for all student participants. The apartment types include Studios, 1-bedroom apartments, 2-bedroom apartments, and 3-bedroom apartments.
The Spring semester starts in mid-February and ends in mid-to-late May. Exact dates of the program will be provided each year by VinUni.
Students who attend VinUni for a semester must apply for a Vietnamese student visa (Category DH). Upon approval by VinUni, they will send a letter of invitation to accepted students, which will be used to apply for the DH visa. Visa applications can be sent in via mail, and students should not need to appear to the Embassy in person. VinUni will provide inbound exchange students with necessary supporting documents for them to apply for the visa.
