SIT is a leader in immersive, field-based study abroad programs for undergraduates. SIT offers more than 70 programs in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as comparative programs in multiple locations. In addition to SIT's rich history, the programs' unique qualities - including exceptional locations, independent research, cultural immersion, and deep local networks - make our programs an ideal choice for an extraordinary, transformative study abroad experience.

SIT also supports International Honors Programs (IHP). Each IHP program begins with two weeks in the United States before moving on to spend 4-5 weeks in each of three other countries on different continents to give students a comparative look at a critical global issue such as health, human rights, climate change, cities, food systems, or geopolitics.  Students enrolled in IHP programs must follow the program itinerary and each travel segment is required.

Nearly all SIT programs include an excursion to a nearby country.  SIT also offers a number of multi-country programs, including the International Honors Program, which are viewable on the SIT website.
