As outlined on the main IT Optimization page, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) partnered in the first IT Optimization exercise. In February 2021, all IT staff who currently work in CAS will merge with DoIT to form UofSC IT. IT leadership in both units are working together to ensure this transition is smooth.

In the future, all IT units that are currently housed in academic colleges, administrative areas, and auxiliary areas on the Columbia campus will also take part in IT Optimization. Information on the next units that will follow CAS in IT Optimization will be available soon. Check back on this site for more information.
