Below are the University of South Carolina's information security standards.

Data Loss Prevention

Per UNIV 1.51 and the Data Loss Prevention Operational Standard, DLP has been approved as a framework for the University of South Carolina's implementation and us of DLP technology.The Scanning and Notification Schedule is provided to allow greater transparency into the schedule of routine DLP scans.

Minimum Security

The list of imaginable threats–and possible countermeasures–is limitless. However, resources to address them are not. The University Information Security Office values practical, evidence-based solutions. The Minimum Security Standards are a result of that practice.

Payment Card Industry

Per Policy UNIV 1.51, the PCI Cryptographic Key Management Standard, PCI Penetration Testing Standard, and PCI Vulnerability Scanning Standard have been approved by the Data Administration Advisory Council.
