Sign up for a Spring 2021 meal plan by visiting the Self Service Carolina portal at
my.sc.edu until January 13. After January 13, upgrade or sign up for a meal plan
by contacting the Carolina Card office directly at (803) 777-1708 or through my.carolinacard.sc.edu.

Declining balance plans provide the most flexibility when dining on campus. These plans come with guest meals that can be used at any of our on-campus dining locations. Each guest meal can be redeemed for one meal. All purchases with declining balance plans are tax free.
- The Declining Balance Platinum meal plan comes with tax-free meal plan dollars (MPD) to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with 15 guest meals to be used in all locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
- The Declining Balance Gold meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with 10 guest meals to be used in all locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
- The Declining Balance Silver meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with five guest meals to be used in all locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
- The Declining Balance Greek meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester. This plan is only available to students who are part of a university fraternity or sorority, and is available to supplement a fraternity or sorority house meal plan.
*Meal plans expire at the conclusion of each semester. Any unused funds are forfeited and do not carry over to the next semester.
Other Meal Plans
Spur 5 Plan
Spur 5 provides five meals to be used throughout the week at any of our dining locations.
This plan is great for a commuting student who needs a few meals during the week or
for a Greek Village student living in off-campus apartments who needs no-hassle meals
on the weekend. The Spur 5 also comes with $100 MPD to be used at all campus dining
locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
Price/Semester: $889
Block 50
The Block 50 plan provides 50 meal swipes to be used during the semester in our residential restaurants or retail locations and $375 Meal Plan Dollars for the semester to be used at any of our dining locations.
The Block 50 is also the minimum mandatory requirement for first year students, spring
semester, who have enrolled in a Greek house meal plan.
Price/Semester: $850
Preston 4 Plan
The Preston 4 meal plan, only available to upperclassmen who reside at Preston College,
is the minimum required meal plan for any Preston College upperclassman. The plan
provides four meals to be used throughout the week at any of our dining locations.
The Preston 4 meal plan does not include MPD.
