Adding & Replacing Alt Text
Consider alt text each time you add or replace an image in your spotlight callout snippet.
- Select your image, then click the Image icon to get to the Insert/Edit options.

- If the image offers absolutely no important visual information, you may check the
"Image is decorative" option box. Otherwise, be sure this box is left unchecked.
- Add your alt text to the "Alternative description" box. Click "Save" to confirm.

Captions & Alt Text
Most of the time, alt text and captions serve very different purposes. However, if
your caption conveys all of the visual information found in your image, you can mark
the image as decorative to keep a screen reader from reading the same description
twice.
Decorative Images
You can tell screen readers to skip your image if it conveys absolutely no important visual information or if it merely repeats information that is already on the page.

Check the "Image is decorative" option box under Insert/Edit Image (shown above) and click "Save" to confirm.
