Description
How do you transform from being a novice at Blackboard and a first-time online instructor, to a "pro" who enjoys teaching online and wants to do more? This session presents four key components of an online course and discusses the importance of these to achieving a successful experience for both the instructor and the students. The components discussed are:
- Course structure
- Varied materials and activities
- Personal and frequent communication
- Prompt feedback
Examples of each component are shared, as well as student assessment results from the presenter’s fully online course that confirm what works.
