Daniel Charles is a multimedia and educational technology specialist with a background that bridges healthcare, education, and instructional design. New York born, but South Carolina bred, Charles holds a B.S. in Athletic Training, an M.S. in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management, and an M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technology from Winthrop University's Richard W. Riley College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences. His professional experience includes roles as a licensed athletic trainer, clinical instructor, certified CTE health science educator, adjunct instructor, technical trainer, instructional designer, eLearning consultant, and LMS administrator. Across these roles, Charles has focused on designing and delivering accessible and culturally sensitive training, curriculum, and learning experiences for in-person, hybrid, and or fully online environments. He is passionate about using media and educational technologies to create engaging, effective learning experiences for diverse learners. He currently serves on the Distributed Learning team in the Center for Teaching Excellence as the Multimedia and Educational Technology Specialist.
