Adventures in 3D Printing

Have you wondered if you can engineer your imagination to life ? Do you know you can explore your love to create by 3D printing ?

Come join us in the Adventures of 3D Printing to be a “Print-ineer” for life by initiating your 3D printing journey in this summer camp. You will experience diverse facets of engineering design from architecture to structural to aerospace to automotive and learn about their structural design, manufacturing and health monitoring. At the end of the adventure, you would have the opportunity to create 3D printed engineered structures and enjoy a team “building” project.

  • June 16 - 21 for Rising 9 - 12 grade students

Choose from:

  • Commuting Scholar - $575
  • Commuting Scholar Plus Evening - $665
  • Residential Scholar - $975

Robin James

Robin James is a 2nd Year PhD Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering and Computing at the University of South Carolina working in the Laboratory of Active Materials and Smart Structures.

Sowmya Raghu

Sowmya Raghu is an Instructor and Research Associate in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering and Computing at the University of South Carolina working in the Enhanced Heat Transfer Laboratory.

About Pen Your Design

Sowmya and Robin are co-founders of Pen Your Design - a 3D printing start-up based in Columbia, SC that provides hands-on 3D printing experience to students with a mission to encourage them to take up STEAM education by exposing them to 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Pen Your Design also provides advanced 3D printing classes for college students and adults.
