Who should take this course?
Students generally take the SAT during their junior year of high school. This course is ideal for current juniors and seniors, currently in high school who may be taking the test for the first time and for those high school students who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their scores.
This SAT weekend course is ideal for students that need an intensive preparation program during the school year who wish to develop essential test-taking skills.
About the Course
Our expert instructors guide you through each section of the Revised SAT exam and provide personal attention in and out of the classroom. Whether you are seeking assistance with the Reading, Writing and Language or Math section of the SAT, this course will help you maximize your score. Learn useful study and test-taking strategies and time management skills to help limit test anxiety. We've helped hundreds gain admission into a college of their choice and we are ready to assist you.
This affordable and comprehensive course meets on the UofSC Columbia campus once per week for four weeks on Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons for a total of 16 educational hours. Students are encouraged to continue to practice their skills during the week, leading to greater opportunities for learning and interaction with our expert instructors.
Our comprehensive program emphasizes the SAT test components including test taking strategies, question formats, process of elimination, math, reading, and writing and language. Students receive in-depth review of the exam materials, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests, and a comprehensive study plan. Class sessions use real test questions to show just how these skills are tested.
The course fee includes all classroom instruction and course materials:
- 16 hours of expert classroom instruction
- The textbook - The Official Guide to Revised SAT Guide and a workbook provided on the first day of class
- Real SAT practice questions and tests
- An easy-to-follow study plan
