Background

Beth Fallaw, program advisor, is responsible for educating prospective students about the benefits of our certificate programs.

Beth earned a Bachelor of Science in parks, recreation and tourism management in 1993 from Clemson. She began working for the Columbia Action Council (CAC) as a student and accepted a permanent position with CAC in 1993. Beth assisted with the coordination of Kids Day Columbia, Mayfest, Summer Concert Series, and many local events. She left her position as special projects director to work for the SC Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism in 2000. There she served as lead meeting planner for internal and external events and functions including the SC Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Travel.

Beth is a Certified Festival Planner, served on the South Carolina Festival and Event Association Board, Certified Public Manager, and served on the Certified Public Manager Board.
