As long as COVID-19 affects normal university operations, our process for capturing and selecting photography will change. When communicating specifically about COVID-19, images must reflect physical distancing and face-covering protocols. For all new photography, we recommend a temporary shift away from groups and toward more individual portraits. Images portraying more than one subject should demonstrate appropriate physical distancing and face-covering protocols. Where appropriate, photograph multiple subjects in outdoor settings.Always choose photos that relate to and reinforce the message of the associated content. When selecting from pre-COVID-19 photos for content that is not related to COVID-19, continue to use a range of photography that showcases our unique people, culture and location, and vary both subjects and styles.
