On-Campus Interviewing

Schedule dates to interview students and alumni during fall and spring semesters.

Win-Win

Generally reserved for full-time, internship and co-op positions, on-campus interviews are a win-win for recruiters and applicants alike. While students and alumni appreciate the close proximity to their homes and their familiarity with campus, recruiters can benefit from the ease in accessibility that this provides to applicants.

Most interviews occur between the end of September and mid-November during the fall semester, and between the end of January and mid-April during the spring.

To recruit students for part-time and seasonal jobs, the Career Center will be happy to help you set up an information table at the Russell House Student Union or another key location.

  1. Create an account or log into your existing account in Handshake, our online recruiting system.
  2. If you are a new employer or contact, your Handshake profile will be reviewed and approved within 72 hours.
  3. Once you are approved, click on the "Interviews" link on the left bar of your Handshake homepage to request an on-campus interview schedule.
  4. Select "Request Interview Schedule" in the top right toolbar and select an available date.

Most employers hold an information session the evening prior to a scheduled interview date.

  1. Create an account or log into your existing account in Handshake, our online recruiting system.
  2. If you are a new employer or contact, your Handshake profile will be reviewed and approved within 72 hours.
  3. Once you are approved, log in and select the “Events” link on the left bar of your Handshake homepage. Select “Request Event” in the top right toolbar to post your event request. Note: events will not be approved until campus space has been confirmed.
  4. Select "New Event Request" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Fill out the requested information, and click "Save and Continue." Your request will be submitted to our office. Once processed, a member of our team will contact you.
