This trip is ideal for those looking to find the wilderness feeling without traveling. Come practice your SUP or Kayak skills on moving water as we navigate the Congaree River through Columbia and just south of downtown. We explore the river on SUPs or Kayaks, swim, and find little pools along the way to hang out and snack in.

This is an appropriate trip for beginners. Those with intermediate skills can also practice eddy turns, ferrying, and other river maneuvers while paddling down river. Transportation, instruction, and all rentals are included in the cost.

Experience a Sunday-Funday like no other! Join Outdoor Recreation in exploring Charleston's water ways by Kayak or Stand-up Paddleboard. After paddling kayaks or paddleboards (your choice) through the salt marshes surrounding Bowens Island, we'll head over to Folly to enjoy some waves and a little beach time.

We normally pack a couple surf boards in case anyone needs a little more challenge for the day.  This trip is open to beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Transportation, instruction, and all rentals are included in the cost. Participants are responsible for their lunch/snacks, water bottle, and any personal items (hat, sunscreen, towel, etc.)
