Carolina Online Advising

Welcome to Carolina Online! Your assigned Carolina Online Advisor will provide you with comprehensive, four-year academic advising. In addition to academic advising, Carolina Online advising provides career guidance, pre-registration of courses, study strategies, success coaching and holistic support to students.

Meet the Carolina Online Advisors

Rachel Bradley

In addition to serving as an academic advisor for Carolina Online students, Rachel also serves as the Coordinator for Exploratory Advising in the University Advising Center. Originally from Centreville, VA, Rachel has been advising at UofSC for more than five years. In her spare time Rachel enjoys going to the beach with her two dogs and re-reading her favorite books.

Josh Weakland

In addition to serving as an academic advisor for Carolina Online students, Josh also serves as an Exploratory Advisor in the University Advising Center. Originally from State College, PA, Josh came to UofSC from West Virginia University where he provided academic advising and other support to student athletes. Josh has been advising for three years and with UofSC for almost two years. In his spare time he enjoys traveling.

What to Expect from Your Carolina Online Advisor 

  1. You'll meet with your academic advisor virtually via Microsoft Teams 2-3 times per semester to discuss your academic and career goals. If you're unfamiliar with Microsoft Teams, check out our help video for  "How to Use Microsoft Teams"
  2. You will discuss a variety of topics with your academic advisor, including courses and academic pathways for upcoming semesters, your transition to Carolina Online, resources, and your goals for your post-college experience with your advisor.
