Like all communities, the University of South Carolina experiences interpersonal violence,
including sexual assault, harassment, stalking and intimate partner violence. The
university strives to prevent interpersonal violence and support anyone who has experienced
or been affected by it. We encourage you to seek help from the resources available
to you. Together, we can stop sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence.
Speak with an Advocate
Call 803-777-8248 or drop in to Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention & Prevention
during business hours. Students and faculty and staff members can talk to a trained
interpersonal violence advocate.
After Hours:Call Law Enforcement and Safety's police dispatch at 803-777-4215 and ask to speak
with an SAVIP advocate. You won't have to give any identifying information to the
police.
Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Support
The university offers free, accessible, inclusive and confidential support to survivors
of interpersonal violence and educates members of the Carolina community so they know
how to help prevent and respond to it.
