In this topic, you will learn how to define revenue plan templates.
Steps:
Begin by navigating to the Revenue/Billing Plan Template page.
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the down arrow.
Step 2Click the Set Up Financials/Supply Chain menu.
Step 3Click the Product Related menu.
Step 4Click the Contracts menu.
Step 5Click the Templates menu.
Step 6Click the Revenue/Billing Plan Template menu.
Step 7Click the Add a New Value link.
Step 8Click in the Plan Template ID field.
Step 9Enter the desired information into the Plan Template ID field.
Enter "PERCENT".
Step 10Click the Plan Method list.
Step 11Click the Percent Complete list item.
Step 12Click the Add button.
Step 13Use the Revenue/Billing Plan Template page to create revenue and billing plan templates for use on your contract lines.
Step 14Click in the Description field.
Step 15Enter the desired information into the Description field.
Enter "Percent Revenue Plan".
Step 16Select the Activate Contract option to have the system automatically set this billing or revenue plan to Ready upon contract activation.
Click the Activate Contract option.
Step 17Select the Process Amendment option to have the system automatically set this billing or revenue plan to Ready upon amendment processing.
Click the Process Amendment option.
Step 18Select the Approve Renewal option to have the system automatically set this billing or revenue plan to Ready upon renewal approval.
Click the Approve Renewal option.
Step 19Click the Save button.
Step 20Click the Add button.
Step 21Click in the Plan Template ID field.
Step 22Enter the desired information into the Plan Template ID field.
Enter "MILESTONE".
Step 23Click the Plan Method list.
Step 24Click the Milestone list item.
Step 25Click the Add button.
Step 26Click in the Description field.
Step 27Enter the desired information into the Description field.
Enter "Milestone Revenue Plan".
Step 28Click the Activate Contract option.
Step 29The following fields are available for Apportionment, As Incurred, Milestone, and Recurring revenue plan templates only: Basis Date Source and Basis Date Option. The system uses the basis date as a building block for event dates on Milestone and As Incurred plans, and to determine the start date on Apportionment and Recurring plans.
Step 30The Event Detail fields are also available for the As Incurred, and Milestone revenue templates only.
Step 31In the Event Type field, select either Date or Milestone for this template.
If you select a Milestone event type, you must also enter values in the Milestone Origin and Days Lag fields.
Click the Event Type list.
Step 32Click the Milestone list item.
Step 33Click the Milestone Origin list.
Step 34Click the Project list item.
Step 35Click in the Days Lag field.
Step 36Enter the desired information into the Days Lag field.
Enter "45".
Step 37Click the Save button.
