Performing Budget Inquiries


In this topic, you will learn how to perform a budget inquiry.

 

After the budget journals are successfully posted, you can use the Budget Inquiry series of pages to view budget information.  These allow you to view the posted budget lines, the budget journal IDs, the date on which the rows are posted, and the budget journal distribution status.


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Project Budget Inquiry page.

     

    Click the Main Menu button.

  2. Click the Grants menu.

  3. Click the Awards menu.

  4. Click the Project Budget Inquiry menu.

  5. Click the Look up Business Unit (Alt+5) button.

  6. Click the USCSP link.

  7. If you know any portion of the Project ID, you can enter it in the Project field. Otherwise, leave the field blank and click the Search button to return all projects.

  8. Click the Project list.

  10. Click in the Project field.

  11. Enter the desired information into the Project field.

     

    Enter "029".

  14. The GL Info and Posted, FA, C/S Info tabs display the budget journal IDs and the dates the rows were posted, as well as the budget header status, ledger, and ledger group.

  15. Click the GL Info object.

  16. Use the scrollbar to view additional information on the page.

  17. Click the &Posted, FA, C/S Info object.

  18. Note that the page now displays C/S, FA, and Distribution Status information.
