In this topic, you will learn how to perform a budget inquiry.
After the budget journals are successfully posted, you can use the Budget Inquiry series of pages to view budget information. These allow you to view the posted budget lines, the budget journal IDs, the date on which the rows are posted, and the budget journal distribution status.
Steps:
Begin by navigating to the Project Budget Inquiry page.
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the Grants menu.
Step 2Click the Awards menu.
Step 3Click the Project Budget Inquiry menu.
Step 4Click the Look up Business Unit (Alt+5) button.
Step 5Click the USCSP link.
Step 6If you know any portion of the Project ID, you can enter it in the Project field. Otherwise, leave the field blank and click the Search button to return all projects.
Step 7Click the Project list.
Step 8Click the contains list item.
Step 9Click in the Project field.
Step 10Enter the desired information into the Project field.
Enter "029".
Step 11Click the Search button.
Step 12Click the 20000029 link.
Step 13The GL Info and Posted, FA, C/S Info tabs display the budget journal IDs and the dates the rows were posted, as well as the budget header status, ledger, and ledger group.
Step 14Click the GL Info object.
Step 15Use the scrollbar to view additional information on the page.
Step 16Click the &Posted, FA, C/S Info object.
Step 17Note that the page now displays C/S, FA, and Distribution Status information.
