Generating Deferred Revenue

In this topic, you will learn how to generate deferred revenue.

Steps:

1. Begin by navigating to the Process Deferred Revenue page.

    

   Click the Main Menu button.

2. Click the Customer Contracts menu.

   Step 2

3. Click the Schedule and Process Revenue menu.

   Step 3

4. Click the Process Deferred Revenue menu.

   Step 4

5. A Run Control ID is an identifier that uniquely identifies and defines parameters that are used when a process is run.

   Step 5

6. Click in the Run Control ID field.

   Step 6

7. Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field.

    

   Enter "DEFERRED_REV".

   Step 7

8. Click the Search button.

   Step 8

9. If a Run Control ID existed for "DEFERRED_REV" it would show up in the search.

   Since it does not, let's create it.

   Step 9

10. Click the Add a New Value tab.

    Step 10

11. Click the Add button.

    Step 11

12. Use fields in the Contract Options group box to filter the list of contracts on which this process runs. Filter by Business Unit, Contract Type, Sold To customer, or Contract number. When you leave a field blank, the system runs the process for all values for that field.

13. Click in the From Date field.

14. Enter the desired information into the From Date field.

     

    Enter "07012014".

    Step 14

15. Click the Run button.

    Step 15

16. Click the Server Name list.

17. Click the PSUNX list item.

18. Click the OK button.

19. Notice that this process has been assigned a Process Instance number. This number can be used to track this process.

20. Click the Process Monitor link.

21. Click the Refresh button.

22. Continue to click the Refresh button until the Run Status is "Success" and Distribution Status is "Posted".
