Managing Action Assignments


In this topic, you will learn how to manage action assignments.


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Action Status by Owner Rpt page.

     

    Click the Scroll Down arrow.

  5. Click the Action Status By Owner Rpt menu.

  6. You can run this report by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value.

  7. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  8. A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your user ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a process is run. This ensures that when a process runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values.

  9. Click in the Run Control ID field.

  10. Creating a Run Control ID that is relevant to the report may help you remember it for future use.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field.

     

    Enter "ACTION".

  12. Use the Action Status by Owner Rpt page to enter the request parameters. These parameters will be used to define the processing rules and data to be included when the report is run.

  14. Use the Process Scheduler Request page to enter or update parameters, such as server name and report output format.

  17. Use the Type list to select the type of output you want to generate for this job. Your four choices are File, Printer, Email, or Web.

  18. Use the Format list to define the output format for the report. The values are dependent upon the Process Type for the process you select. In this example, the default value is PDF.

  19. Click the OK button.

  20. Notice the Process Instance number appears. This number helps you identify the process you have run when you check the status.

  22. The Process List page consists of all of the processes that have been run and their current status. You can select the server that you used to generate the SQR report to reduce the number of processes that display. You can click the Refresh button to track the progress of each process.

  24. Continue to click the Refresh button until the Run Status is "Success" and Distribution Status is "Posted".

  29. The Administration page lists the Report ID and Description by process instance along with the format and status of each report.

  30. When you click on a report's Description link, a window appears with a PDF version of the report.
