In this topic, you will learn how to use the Contracts Workbench, which includes defining the Contracts Workbench Template for Project Costing and analyzing project data.
Steps:
Being by navigating to the Contracts Workbench Template page.
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the Scroll Down button.
Step 2Click the Set Up Financials/Supply Chain menu.
Step 3Click the Product Related menu.
Step 4Click the Project Costing menu.
Step 5Click the General Options menu.
Step 6Click the Contracts Workbench Template menu.
Step 7Enter the desired information into the SetID field.
Enter "USCIP".
Step 8Click the Search button.
Step 9Use the Contracts Workbench Template page to define Workbench Record and respective Record Fields for the PROJECTS Workbench Type.
Step 10Select any Record Name from the available list for PROJECTS Workbench Template ID. The record names that are available to choose from are predefined by PeopleSoft.
When you select a record, the system displays all fields for that record in the Record Fields section of the page.
Step 11You can click on + to add more Record Names. Likewise, click on - to delete unwanted records.
Step 12All record names are available when you click the drop-down list. This includes Contracts, Grants, and Project Costing record names.
Step 13Click the Record Name list.
Step 14The records that are available from PeopleSoft PROJECTS are:

PROJ_ACT_CA_VW
PROJ_STA_CA_VW
PROJ_TM_SCH_CA_VW
Step 15Use the scrollbar to view additional information on the page.
Step 16After making changes to the Contracts Workbench Template data, save the information to complete the definition process.
Click the Save button.
Step 17Next, navigate to the Contracts Workbench page to analyze Contracts Workbench data.
Click the Main Menu button.

Step 19Click the Project Costing menu.
Step 20Click the Contracts Workbench menu.
Step 21Enter the desired information into the Business Unit field.
Enter "USCIP".
Step 22Enter the desired information into the Project field.
Enter "20000022".
Step 23Click the Search button.
Step 24Contracts Workbench has been designed to act as a single location to display consolidated information from Contracts, Grants, and Project Costing.
This enables the user to view summary information related to Contracts, Grants, and Project Costing in a single page.
Step 25Use the scrollbar to view additional information on the page.
Step 26Only the fields that are selected on the Contracts Workbench Template page are displayed in the respective data grid.
Each grid can be collapsed or expanded based on your requirements.
Step 27The data displayed in the Contracts Workbench page is based on the permission list that you have access to in PeopleSoft Contracts, Grants, and Project Costing.
For example, if you only have permission to view Projects Data and the template that is assigned to your business unit includes Grants and Project Costing records then only the Projects Data section appears in the Contracts Workbench page.
Step 28Some of the fields in the grids, such as Project in the Project Resources grid, are hyperlinked so that you can navigate to the corresponding pages and make changes or updates.
