In honor of National Public Health Week the Arnold School of Public Health will be offering free hearing and health screenings! All faculty, staff, students, and the general public are invited. Speech-Language Pathology students will be providing the hearing screenings. Exercise Science students will offer assessments of resting heart rate and blood pressure, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), as well as an aerobic fitness assessment. Availability will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. Check-in will be in the 1st floor lobby of the Public Health Research Center.

DSAC Laughter Yoga Event
Laughter – For the Health of It
We’ve all heard that “laughter is the best medicine,” but is it true? Join in this fun, interactive Laughter Yoga session that will have you laughing on purpose, without the use of jokes, comedy, or humor. Learn how to use laughter to manage stress and improve health (mental, physical, & emotional). You'll be glad you did! No special clothing or equipment is needed – just a willingness to laugh and have fun.
Dr. Delores Pluto, Arnold School’s director of evaluation and academic assessment, has been teaching classical hatha yoga since 1993 and laughter yoga since 2010. She has a PhD in public health and a graduate certificate in gerontology.
