Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Xiao's research is primarily focusing on women's reproductive health and toxicology. By using multiple in vivo/ in vitro models, he investigates how chemo-chemicals adversely affect fertility in young female cancer patients, how environmental chemicals such as endocrine disruptors disrupt female reproductive functions, and how to provide fertility protective options for those women at the risk of reproductive dysfunction and infertility. His second interest is using microfluidic technology to establish the ex-vivo female reproductive tract for pharmaceutical drug/environmental chemical screening and testing.
