Research and Teaching Interests

Dr. Carson's Integrative Muscle Biology Laboratory employs molecular biology techniques with in vivo and in vitro models examining muscle plasticity. We have extensive successful experience modeling exercise, muscle contraction, muscle disuse, and muscle overload in the preclinical mouse models. My lab also has years of experience quantifying skeletal muscle molecular signaling, phenotype, and morphology after exercise treatments and during disease progression.
