Core Facilities

The Center for Targeted Therapeutics supports three core facilities to aid researchers in project development and technological support.

Functional Genomics Core

The CTT Functional Genomics Core facility, housed at the University of South Carolina, advises and assists investigators in the use of function-based genomics for target identification and validation, as well as with transcriptomic, genomic analysis and Microarray Core. The core is directed by Michael Shtutman, Ph.D.

Drug Design and Synthesis Core

The CTT Drug Design and Synthesis Core facility provides access to state of the art resources for computational structure and ligand based design and synthetic organic chemistry. The DDSC works with researchers to evaluate the feasibility of drug discovery and design projects.  The core is directed by Campbell McInnes, Ph.D.

Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Core

The CTT Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Core facility, housed at the University of South Carolina, advises and assists investigators with advanced microscopy and flow cytometry procedures, both on the USC - Columbia campus and at the School of Medicine Instrumentation Resource Facility. The core is co-directed by Chang-uk Lim, Ph.D. and Vitali Sikirzhytski, Ph.D.
