Associate Dean for Research

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing seeks an Associate Dean for Research who will provide dynamic leadership for faculty and student research initiatives. The Associate Dean reports directly to the Dean of the College of Nursing. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field and be tenure-eligible. The Associate Dean for Research is expected to have a strong record of extramural research funding, peer-reviewed publications, and administrative experience.

Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor with a beginning research program in one of our three research cores: health systems, vulnerable populations, health promotion/risk reduction. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required. This individual will join the College‚Äôs team of junior and senior-level researchers with established research programs and two research centers: Center for Cancer Survivorship and Healthcare Process and Redesign.

Mid-Career Scientist,Tenure-Track, Associate Professor

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking a mid-career tenure-track faculty member with advanced expertise in one of our three research cores: health systems, vulnerable populations, health promotion/risk reduction. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required. Candidates are expected to have an established record of successful participation on externally funded research grants, scientific collaboration with junior and senior research faculty, and PhD-level student teaching and mentorship. 

Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor for Advanced Practice/DNP Program

The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time faculty position to teach in the undergraduate nursing program, including direct supervision of undergraduate nursing students in the clinical area, with medical surgical area of nursing expertise. Opportunities for teaching and mentoring in the MSN/DNP Graduate Program are commensurate with expertise and credentials.

Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor for Medical Surgical Nursing

The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time faculty position. In addition to teaching, clinical practice and research/scholarship activities are expected. Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with the level of advanced practice clinical practice, teaching, leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate.

Tenure-Eligible Full Professor

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking a senior scientist with an active, sustained, and externally funded program of research in vulnerable populations for the prestigious Emily Myrtle Smith Endowed Professor of Nursing. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required. Candidates are expected to have an established research record.

Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor Undergraduate Psych and Psych-Mental Health NP Program

The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full time faculty position. In addition to teaching, clinical practice and research/scholarship activities are expected. Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with clinical practice, teaching, leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate. The faculty member would provide didactic instruction and clinical mentoring of Undergraduate Nursing students in psychiatric nursing courses and Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FPMHNP) students in advanced practice nursing courses.
