Robert Appel is director of marketing for the Darla Moore School of Business. In that role, he is responsible for the strategic marketing planning and communications for the school’s entire portfolio of programs and activities. Appel has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications, publishing, public relations, writing and editing, multimedia production and new media. In addition to serving as a marketing, public relations and communications consultant to a wide variety of clients, Appel has more than 20 years of experience in health care communications and marketing. He also has experience in advocacy communications in business, public policy and animal welfare. Appel has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
