Since you will have many arrangements to make in order to attend the university, it is important that you apply at least nine months before the semester in which you plan to begin your studies.

Students from around the country and around the world enjoy the atmosphere of the university while also enjoying the amenities of a mid-sized city, all within minutes of the campus. Columbia has several areas for college students to enjoy, including the historic Five Points area and the newly reinvigorated Vista area. Students can tap into the history of Columbia and South Carolina by visiting the many museums, historic homes and repurposed buildings, some of which are now used as shops and restaurants. And there is no lack of natural resources to enjoy in Columbia. Lake Murray, Finlay Park, Congaree National Park and the Riverbanks Zoo are just some of the attractions that draw people from near and far.
