White Coat Ceremony

The USC School of Medicine Greenville White Coat Ceremony celebrates an important milestone in the lives of our first-year medical students. During the ceremony, students pledge their commitment to the profession and to the health of the patients they will serve. Students also receive their white coats, a symbol of their entry into the medical profession.

EMT Operations Drill

The USC School of Medicine Greenville was the first in the country to require first-year medical students to complete an Emergency Medical Technician training course to certification.

Match Day

Match Day occurs annually on the third Friday of March for every allopathic medical school in the United States. Students are informed of their placements at noon. Historically, 94 percent of all U.S. medical school graduates match successfully on the first try. The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville’s charter class celebrated a 100 percent residency placement rate.

Spring Preview

USC School of Medicine Greenville’s Spring Preview is an annual event for accepted applicants to come back to our campus and get a more in depth look at our school.

At USC School of Medicine Greenville, our convocation ceremony is a very personal opportunity for faculty, staff, friends, family and the Greenville community to come together and celebrate the many accomplishments of fourth-year students prior to the commencement ceremony.

Commencement is a combined ceremony for both the Greenville and Columbia medical schools, held in Columbia at the University of South Carolina.
