Summer Rotations

Summer rotation allows you to take on the role of genetic counselor at a comfortable pace and provides deep appreciation for the clinical, research and administrative capacities of the genetic counselor. Students often choose unique settings which allow them to experience a new area of the country or even travel to another country.

During the summer between your first and second year, you'll have the opportunity to experience six weeks, full-time in clinical rotation at a site throughout the United States.

You'll also have the opportunity to participate in a one to two-week laboratory rotation in a variety of settings. This allows an in-depth exposure to the intricacies of laboratory genetic counseling.
